2026年1月の台湾における人民解放軍の活動状況。
Note:
1. Compared to the previous month, aircraft activity decreased by 29.6%, and naval vessel presence dropped by 10.2%.
2. On Feb 21–22, the Australian frigate HMAS Toowoomba transited the Taiwan Strait. In contrast to the massive PLA response (fighters, bombers, and mock attacks) during the HMNZS Aotearoa transit last November, this transit was monitored by only two UAVs.
3. No activity recorded between Yonaguni Island and Taiwan since Nov 24, 2025. This remains the case since Defense Minister Koizumi justified the Yonaguni missile deployment plan on Nov 25, 2025, following a prior PLA flight. Additionally, on Feb 24, the Minister announced a plan to deploy surface-to-air missiles by March 2031.
4. Thirteen balloons were confirmed transiting Taiwan’s airspace. No satellite launches were observed during this period.

1. 前月の活動と比較し航空機の数は前月より29.6%減少、海軍艦艇の数は17%の減少となった。
2. 21日から22日にかけてオーストラリアのフリゲート艦 HMAS Toowoomba が台湾海峡を通過した。昨年の11月にニュージーランドの補給艦 HMNZS Aotearoa が同海峡を通過した際、PLAは戦闘機や爆撃機など多数の航空機を出撃し、追跡・監視に加え模擬攻撃を行った。しかしながら、今回の通過では2機のUAVが監視を行ったのみである。
3. 日本の与那国島・台湾間での活動は引き続き確認されていない。
最後に確認されたのは昨年11月24日。翌25日に日本の小泉防衛大臣が前日に中国軍機が飛行した事に対して、与那国島で進むミサイル配備計画の正当性を主張して以来となる。
また同大臣は24日の記者会見で、2031年3月までに地対空ミサイルを配備する計画を発表した。
4. 台湾上空を通過する飛翔体について、気球は13機確認された。衛星の打ち上げについては確認されていない。
